I already mentioned Grounding on the “Earth Day” and also the "9 easy ways to raise your Vibes" segments. Today, let’s talk a little more about it.

No, grounding is not a new-age trend, it’s very old and it simply means to come back down to earth, and re-center, re-connect ourselves.

With everything happening around us and in our digital age, it's more important than ever to ground ourselves.

The constant release of information from TV and social media platforms may become an addictive distraction and make it difficult to be completely aware of what's happening in the present moment in our life and to simply enjoy our life.


I) - What is Grounding and Why Is it Important?


II) - Some Benefits of Grounding:

  • Stress and pain relief,
  • Reduces inflammation,
  • Improves mood, sleep, blood flow,
  • Enhances healing and generates greater wellness in general,
  • Restores balance, brings stability, more control with what is happening in our life,
  • Improves clarity, motivation, and more…


III) - What does it mean to be ungrounded?

-You may feel very unfocused and your energy and thoughts can be scattered. Your mind is going everywhere, it’s very difficult to stay focus on a single idea.

-You may feel very disconnected from your life, like you are not really living it. It may feel like your life eludes/escapes you.

-You might not be as present or as receptive to yourself and your needs and also to other people. Therefore, you may experience communication problems. You may also feel isolated and disconnected from yourself and also disconnected to others.

-Your thoughts are consumed with what was or what could be instead of what is happening now.

-You lost your creativity, inspiration and happiness.

- Because of that, you may feel tired, exhausted, unbalanced, anxious and overwhelmed.

Are you relating to these? You are not alone. Millions of people live in unbalanced states of being. In fact, most people experience this state at least once in their lives and I would say, experience it many times during their lives.

Now, some solutions:


IV) - 5 Simple grounding tips to bring yourself in the present, find balance, and feel more connected:

  1. The simplest and most well-known method is to walk in nature barefoot, at least 10 minutes…
  2. Use all your senses: Notice 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch/feel, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste.
  3. Whatever you do, be in the moment: Mindfulness exercises,
  4. Breathwork and all mindfulness exercises,
  5. Meditation and Yoga,

Practice grounding exercises as often as possible! You will feel the difference. Reconnect, Harmonize and Rejuvenate!
