What does it actually mean to be transformed by the renewing of your mind?
In this episode, Josh and Corina unpack Romans 12:2 and talk about how mind renewal leads to real transformation. They share how changing your beliefs is not just about thinking more positive thoughts, but about partnering with God’s truth until it becomes deeply rooted in the way you see yourself, God, and your life.
Josh shares how he used to believe hearing God’s voice was hard or that he had to earn his way back into God’s presence. But as he began renewing his mind with the truth that the Holy Spirit lives inside of him and that he is always connected to God, hearing God became easier and more natural.
Josh and Corina also explain the meaning of the word “transformed” in Romans 12:2, connecting it to metamorphosis and the picture of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. You already have what you need inside of you to become who God created you to be, but mind renewal helps unlock that identity and bring it into expression.
