Dr. Sophie Lanter is a doctor of nurse practitioner, the founder of Soluna Aesthetics, and someone who built a practice around a belief most people never say out loud: that how you look and how you feel are not separate conversations. They’re the same one.

In this episode, Sophie and I get into what actually happens to the face as we age and why she believes real results come from understanding that process, not chasing whatever’s trending on Instagram. We talk about her own evolving relationship with her appearance, from a muscular teenage athlete who felt “bulky” next to her peers to a practitioner who’s tried nearly every treatment in her own chair and still leads with intuition over noise. She’s candid about the burnout that came from years of two-a-day workouts and three hours of sleep, and what it actually took to learn that grace and consistency aren’t opposites.

We also talk about what separates a good provider from a transactional one, why referring out is a sign of strength, not weakness, and why she believes finding the right person for anything starts with learning to trust your own gut.

This one is about aesthetics, yes. But underneath it, it’s about permission: to care how you look without apology, and to build a life and a practice with the same patience you’d give any other form of growth.
