I had been trying to get my life together before I attempted to have a deeper connection with Jesus, but that wasn't working at all. Then something quite the opposite happened. As I gradually learned how to share with Him what was going on in the depths of my heart and life, (before I got my life together) I slowly started realizing it was ok to do this.
