Jody Hudson's beloved daughter began experiencing what can only be described as "mystery symptoms"; aching joints, inflammation, and random weight loss. The mystery illness progressed with no formal diagnosis when she was finally tested for Lyme Disease.

Throughout her ever-changing illness, Alex forged ahead and focused on her faith, while taking time to serve others. The disease eventually caused too much damage, and Alex sadly passed at the age of 22.

Jody fiercely refused to let that be the end of Alex's story.

She has taken up the cause to fight against Lyme Disease by founding the Alex Hudson Lyme Foundation, dedicated to spreading awareness and educating others about Lyme disease and MCAS and supporting patients to find community and proper care.
