Ahmed Nihmale is the co-founder of Kyd Labs, a blockchain-integrated ticketing platform. Before starting Kyd, Ahmed spent most of his career in the ticketing and live events industries working for companies like Live Nation, Ticketmaster, and Vivid Seats. With the founding of KYD Labs, which stands for "Keep Your Distribution," Ahmed aims to address the existing challenges and inefficiencies within the ticketing industry. The company has two primary goals: first, to empower artists, promoters, and venues by increasing their revenue and solving industry problems, and second, to provide fans with a transparent ticket-buying experience that fosters stronger relationships between artists and their supporters. We recorded this live in Brooklyn during NFT.NYC and unfortunately, I didn’t have my full mic set up, so the audio isn’t perfect, but we still had a great conversation about all of the issues with the ticketing industry and all of the ways that blockchain can solve those issues.
