In this first episode, we examine the recent list of scientists, engineers, researchers, and other technical professionals whose deaths or disappearances have taken place but have not drawn much public attention.
The goal of this series is not to begin with a conclusion. It is to build a database, a timeline, and eventually a network map using publicly available records, reporting, research, and documentation.
So in this first episode, we begin with the story itself—and the question that started the investigation:
