このコンテンツについて
Joining Reebs in the Studio for this week's episode is author, Jim Minton. Jim wrote the book titled, "Just Call Me Dad".
The two chat about principles from Jim's book, which focus on having a "Wordview" rather than a "Worldview," which in other words puts the focus on Christ/Scripture, rather than on what the world perceives as success or important.
Growing up as an accomplished athlete and being inducted into the Decatur (Illinois) Public Schools Hall of Fame, Jim began his "dad" journey by living vicariously through his children's athletic endeavors, letting his kid's failures ruin his day when that happened. As he gained more experience in the parenting department and transitioning his focus to the Bible intently, he realized there was a much better path to parenting kids in sports which grew his passion for writing the book.
The conversation is applicable to coaches, parents and athletes because we can all learn from one another and how to propel each other to become the very best we can be. Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
