Welcome back to The Rebel’s Way podcast—your no-BS guide to breaking the rules, trusting yourself, and building a life that actually feels like yours.
After a six-month break, I’m back behind the mic—and apparently all it took was the world’s greatest nap and the realization that women really need to sit the f*ck down.
Because why is it that when our bodies tell us they’re exhausted, our brains respond with, Cool, but what if we just push a little harder?
In this episode, we’re talking about the invisible mental load women carry, why we wait until our bodies force us to stop, and what it looks like to respect our energy before we completely run ourselves into the ground.
In this episode, we dive into:- Why I stopped forcing myself to record the podcast on a schedule
- The never-ending mental checklist so many women carry
- Why we keep pushing even when our bodies are begging us to stop
- The difference between resting because you choose to and resting because your body finally forces you to
- How constantly putting yourself last creates exhaustion and resentment
- Why rest isn't something you need to earn
There is no medal for being the biggest martyr. No prize for getting one more load of laundry done when you're exhausted. And no trophy waiting for the woman who managed to ignore her own needs the longest.
So this week, the challenge is ridiculously simple:
If you need to sit the fck down—sit the fck down.
The laundry will still be there.
You don't have to earn rest.
And you don't have to wait until your body gives you no other choice.
