🟡In this episode of The Spots of Time podcast, host Angela Kanwar interviews Carol Railton, a top-ranked global business body language expert who travelled to 47 countries and worked with major companies before 2020.
🟡After developing a worsening cough during the pandemic, Carol was hospitalized with COVID, pneumonia and blood clots, later discovering severe heart damage leading to heart failure and a pacemaker, plus repeated fainting and a critical time in resuscitation.
🟡Living alone with no phone or belongings in hospital, she relied on kindness from a local coffee shop waitress, then faced major limitations at home, carers, and relearning how to breathe and speak.
🟡Carol pragmatically sold her house, moved into a rented riverside flat, and slowly regained function, resumed a first work talk after three years, started support work for women with pacemakers, and built community through feeding swans and organising a monthly pub quiz.
