The boys are back for Episode 6 of their Spider‑Noir review series, and things take a seriously weird turn. Stepping away from some of the show's bigger storylines, this episode dives deeper into Ben Riley's past, exploring the aftermath of the experiments that changed his life and the growing mystery surrounding the people affected by them.
Adam and Kyle discuss the episode's darker tone, the horror-inspired visuals, and the increasingly bizarre performance choices that make Nicolas Cage the perfect fit for this version of Spider‑Man. From unsettling dream sequences to creepy laboratory settings, the episode leans heavily into atmosphere while gradually revealing more about the show's central mystery.
There are plenty of questions, a few surprises, and more than enough speculation as the guys try to work out who's actually telling the truth, who can be trusted, and where the story is heading as the series races towards its finale. With the stakes rising and the web getting more tangled by the minute, both agree this is one of the strongest and most unique episodes so far.
Dark, strange, and packed with intrigue, it's another fascinating chapter in the Spider‑Noir story—and another excuse for Adam and Kyle to spend 45 minutes overanalysing a detective in a fedora.
