 Siddig Siddig is a Venture Capital Investor at Mubadala. Prior to working at a Sovereign Wealth Fund he was an Investment Banker for the Royal Bank of Canada and was focused particularly on biotech startups. He is a first generation Sudanese immigrant and we grew up together in The Hilla. Siddig has been working in industry for a little over two years and went to school at the University of Iowa, where he studied Industrial Engineering and Finance. In this interview, Siddig explains what a career in investment banking entails and breaks down his career path. Also, he breaks down how he recently transitioned from investment banking to being a venture capitalist. As someone that grew up in subsidized housing, Siddig has overcome a lot of adversity to be where he is and dives into what it takes to overcome adversity.
