⭐️ Today's guest, Jeannie Kline
Jeanie Kline grew up with devoutly Catholic parents along with 9 brothers and sisters. Like so many in her neighborhood, she graduated from Catholic grammar and high schools.
Jean Attended Buffalo State College and graduated from Medaille College with a BA in psychology.
She has been married to her husband John since 1984. And, together they raised a son, Ben, and daughter, Mara in the Catholic Church. And, they provided them with Catholic education from pre-K through grade 12.
While raising her family, Jean became a Certified Practitioner of the Creighton Model of Natural Family Planning (known now as Creighton Model FertilityCare). And she taught the method to couples for a decade.
For several years, from the mid-90's to the early 2000's Jean worked for a couple of parishes in various positions.
In the mid-2000's Jean went through a crisis of faith and what she calls her own "dark night of the soul". Jean left the Church for several years.
In 2021 she became certified as a grief educator and a grief coach in the first cohort with grief expert and author, David Kessler. The decision to pursue this certification was a direct result of the death of her 28 year old son, Ben in 2016.
In 2023, after much prayer and discernment, Jean began her grief ministry which includes facilitating two grief support groups, providing grief education to groups, and individual coaching.
