There's a story I once heard about Wayne Gretzky. After practice or a game, his father would have Wayne do an exercise and draw on a piece of paper all the places in hockey rink the puck went. The idea being that if the great one could determine all the places the puck had been, going forward he could determine where the puck would be going. This became the famous quote, "Go to where the puck is going, not where it has been.” As investors, we should have the same mentality.
