This week’s episode turned into a more reflective one than I expected.
It started with watching another frustrating Essendon performance… but somehow ended up becoming an episode about memory, ageing, appreciation and the people we miss.
With Mother’s Day just passing, I found myself thinking a lot about my mum — the little details I still remember, the things I wish I could ask her now as an adult, and how strange it is that someone can be gone for decades but still feel present in your life.
Along the way I also talk about:
- why sport memories stay with us
- getting older and feeling different about life
- buying Beth a Louis Vuitton scarf for Mother’s Day
- the strange guilt and appreciation that comes with spending money on the people you love
- and why some memories never really leave us
This one’s a little slower, more reflective, and probably says a lot about where my head’s been lately.
⭐ Star of the WeekA quick shoutout this week to the people who quietly shape our lives and leave a lasting impact long after they’re gone.
