このコンテンツについて
Welcome back to the Rise of Her podcast, where we talk all things personal development, covering topics like business, social media and personal branding.
In today's guest episode, I chat with Marley Basford, a passionate lived experience advocate with a commitment to improve the outcomes and support for vulnerable people that enter the criminal justice system. Marley experienced homelessness and was able to find support with the Salvation Army and Brisbane City Women's Homelessness Service, and turned her life around completely; and now shares her story to advocate for those who need better support, and helping more people become aware of this issue.
We spoke about:
- The power of using your voice to share your message
- How she found support when homelessness was the safer option
- How we can help every day to raise awareness for important causes
- plus, the importance of knowledge, and understanding others to offer better support
