TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE:Psalm 23:4
[4] Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (ESV)
SUMMARY
We reflect on Psalm 23:4 and choose courage in the face of loss, illness, and uncertainty. We lean into the Shepherd’s presence, finding real comfort in the rod and staff that protect and guide as we settle into rest.
• the valley as a picture of grief, danger and uncertainty
• choosing I will fear no evil as an act of trust
• the rod and staff as protection and guidance
• endurance through hardship rather than escape from it
• practical ways to rest in God’s presence at night
