Fiber: Brown Rice 3.3 g per cup White Rice only 0.6g
Minerals: Brown Rice substantially more manganese, magnesium, and phosphorus in each serving – White Rice, very, very little
Vitamins: Brown Rice is rich in B vitamins for good gut health, particularly high in thiamine (B1) and niacin (B3) is great for neurological health – White rice only provide only a few synthetic vitamins
Macronutrients: Brown Rice has slightly more protein and fat per cup which contributes to its lower glycemic indexing of 50-55 White Rice 72-79 some reaching the 89 range
Dietary Considerations
Blood Sugar Management: Brown Rice is superior for blood sugar management and micronutrient absorption; feeding the gut what it needs White Rice raises glucose levels in the blood causing sharp spikes
