概要

Flutist Aaron Sisson navigates the tumultuous aftermath of WWI, searching for solace amidst bar-room conversations, alcohol, and fleeting connections with women. Disillusioned by the conventionality of a mining executives family, he abandons his wife and children in pursuit of freedom on the open road. During a chance encounter at an opera performance, he finds himself once again entangled with the family, where conversations of love and war leave everyone unfulfilled.
