What would change if you truly believed that God's mercy toward you never changes? Many believers struggle to receive God's love because they measure it by their failures, and as a result, they find it difficult to extend that same mercy to others. This message reveals how embracing God's unconditional mercy transforms both our relationship with Him and others.
In this message titled “Unforgiveness - Part 2,” Pastor Jeffrey Walter teaches that God's mercy is not earned by our merit of it (despite the need to obey Him), but rather flows freely because of His unchanging love. Drawing from Psalm 103 (KJV), he explains the nature of God's mercy toward us, particularly in dealing with our sins. He also shows that forgiveness is not optional, but rather an essential expression of God's nature, calling believers to overcome bitterness, refuse to judge others by their failures or outward estate, and become vessels of His love and healing.
Beloved, God is inviting you to walk in the freedom that comes from receiving and extending His mercy to others. As you forgive others as God has forgiven you, you will experience deeper peace, restored relationships, and greater intimacy with the Lord. Choose today to trust in God's unfailing mercy, let go of every offense, and allow His love to flow through your life.
Key Scriptures: Psalm 103:10-14 (KJV)
10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. 13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. 14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Other Scriptures: John 5:22, John 8:11, John 13:14-15, Matthew 5:7, Matthew 7:1-2, Luke 6:32, Luke 23:34 (All Scriptures in KJV)
