概要

 "The Hum" is a persistent, low-frequency sound reported globally since the 1970s, causing distress, insomnia, and nausea. First documented in Bristol, it later plagued towns like Taos and Windsor. While some researchers suspected tinnitus, the phenomenon's location-specific nature suggests an external source. The sources explore multiple theories. Geoscientist David Deming proposed that electromagnetic energy from military initiatives like TACAMO, used for submarine communication, could be the cause. Other theories involve secret government experiments with microwave mind control. Most significantly, investigator Steve Kohlhase linked the noise to natural gas pipelines. He found that Hum reports often coincide with the expansion of high-power gas lines and compressor stations. Although federal studies in Canada tracked one hum to industrial islands, the definitive cause remains officially unconfirmed.
