概要
Former co-chair of the YES! collective, Dr. Kamalini Ramdas, and present co-chair, Dr. Menusha de Silva, share their experiences with the Gender Commission of the International Geographical Union (CGG-IGU) and how they got involved in YES!, the Young and Early-Career Scholars network linked to CGG-IGU.
Our host, Anjeline de Dios, interviewed Kamalini and Menusha back in spring 2020 when the global Covid-19 pandemic just began to take off. In this episode, Kamalini and Menusha recall how they became part of the CGG-IGU and share about their experiences with community building through YES!. They explain what feminist geographies mean to them, address the challenges of living a feminist geographer's life and how they connect with other feminist scholars and peers during pandemic times.
Whether you are a graduate student, an early-career researcher, or someone who’s interested in, and committed to shifting perspectives on normative narratives, YES! is for you!
