“Are you running on Empty like you’ve poured out everything and there’s nothing left for you? If you are caring for your child with chronic illness, you know the silent exhaustion no one talks about the sleepless nights, constant worry, the guilt when you think about resting… and the fear that lingers on. But I’m here to share that burnout isn’t your ending? You gave everything today again to everyone but you. Today I’m showing you a different way. This podcast was birth out of my exhaustion and cry to God and he said your pain has purpose and to use my voice to impact other Moms. I will be sharing my struggles and God led Strategies that helped me overcome exhaustion in every way. If you're raising a child with a chronic illness, you know the kind of exhaustion no one talks about. The sleepless nights. The constant worry, the medical appointments. The fear that follows you from one day to the next. The guilt you feel whenever you think about resting. And that lingering question: "How much longer can I keep doing this?" If that's where you are today, I want you to know you are not alone. And burnout does not have to be the end of your story. In this episode, we discuss 3 Biblical rhythms that helped me move from caregiver burnout to sustainable endurance. So grab your coffee, take a deep breath, and settle in. Hey friend, let me introduce you to my world, I’m full time working mom of 3 and have raised 2 of my children now teens both battling Sickle cell blood disorder and recently my son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes on top of SCD that causes excruciating pain and organ damage to the body and this was My Breaking Point It was one of the hardest seasons of my life. We had endured back-to-back hospitalizations. Crisis after crisis. Emergency after emergency. I was doing everything I could to hold my family together. On the outside, I looked strong. But inside, I was completely depleted. I had become so focused on being "Super Mom" that I was carrying burdens God never asked me to carry alone. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, running on fumes and honestly I was close to giving up. Then, in one of my lowest moments, God met me there. As I prayed through my tears, I sensed Him whisper: "Wear My strength the way you wear your clothes." I stopped. What did that even mean? Then suddenly, it clicked. I had been trying to do everything in my own strength. My own effort, my own performance and my own striving. But God was inviting me into something different. Surrender. Peace, rest. 2 Corinthians 12:10 came alive in my spirit: "For when I am weak, then I am strong." Not because of my strength. Because of His, that moment changed everything. Coming Up Next In our next episode, I'll be sharing my REST Framework in greater depth. We'll talk about: How to release guilt and give yourself permission to restHow to heal burnout at the soul levelHow to create healthy boundaries without feeling selfishHow to say "no" without guiltHow to stop carrying responsibilities that were never yours to carry You won't want to miss it. Lets pray together Closing Prayer Father, I lift up every caregiver mom listening right now. Remind her that she is seen. Remind her that she is loved. Remind her that she doesn't have to carry this burden alone. Clothe her with Your strength. Fill her with Your peace. And teach her how to rest in You. In Jesus' name, Amen. Until next time, stay encouraged, hopeful, and stay clothed in God's strength. The Shift That Changed My Life I began creating simple rhythms that supported me instead of draining me. I stopped measuring my worth by how much I could carry. I gave myself permission to rest without guilt. I learned to trust God with outcomes I couldn't control. And slowly, I discovered something beautiful: Peace wasn't waiting on the other side of perfect circumstances. Peace was available right in the middle of the storm. That's what I want for you. I want you to feel emotionally grounded again. Spiritually strengthened and hopeful. Not because your circumstances suddenly change, but because God's strength becomes greater than the weight you're carrying. Remember to Grab a pen and write this 1 Rhythm you can practice this week. Find peace in the middle of medical chaosBuild endurance so you don't just survive—you thrive Rhythms #1: The Soul Reset Whenever you feel overwhelmed, begin here. Pause. Breathe. Be still. Open your heart to God's presence. Tell Him honestly how exhausted you are. Name the fear. Name the frustration. Name the grief. Then sit quietly and listen. You don't have to carry this alone. Remember who you are in Christ. You are not just a caregiver. You are a daughter of God. When your identity is anchored in Him, you stop striving and start abiding. Tool #2: Create a Rest Rhythm I use a simple practice called REST. Release what you're carrying. Examine where you're depleted emotionally, physically, or spiritually. Surrender what remains unresolved. ...
