Recorded live at Taco Fest 2026 in Salinas, these first two episodes of our four-part special highlight passionate individuals making an impact in the local arts community.
Part 1: We sit down with Liz, Maestra and Director of Baile Folklórico Costa de California, along with Michelle, Vice President, and Patty, a member of the organization’s Board of Directors. Together, they share how the group was founded, the work that goes into preserving cultural traditions, and the importance of creating opportunities for future generations through dance, education, and community involvement.
Part 2: We talk with Zylee Diaz, actor and adventure seeker, about her pursuit of an acting career, the experiences that have shaped her journey, and her passion for the arts. We also discuss what can be done to help make the arts more visible and accessible throughout Salinas.
These episodes are the first release in our four-part Taco Fest 2026 series, featuring inspiring conversations with local artists, performers, and community leaders who are helping shape the culture of the Central Coast.
