SHOW #92: Welcome to the disSOLViNG fear podcast!
Season 3, Episode 23 - Welcome to the podcast, where fear doesn't run the show, YOU DO!
Today I’m talking to poet and writer Aaron Poochigian about his experience with "forest bathing" and Shinrin-Yoku meditation in Central Park in NYC. We also talk about:
- exploring Central Park
- the therapeutic power of nature
- using the 5 senses to feel grounded
- the Japanese roots of forest bathing
- how our struggles become our strengths
- Central Park's hidden past and main attractions
You can go out into your neighborhood, backyard, or YOUR local park and practice "forest bathing" using your five senses!
You don't need to go to a huge forest to relax, and you don' t need to go to NYC to appreciate Aaron's new book: Four Walks in Central Park: A Poetic Guide to the Park.
The book transports you to Central Park and helps you feel like you're right there with him, walking through nature from the comfort of your couch.
