February 6 is recognized as World Safer Internet Day, with this year's theme being "Smart Tech, Safe Choices – Exploring the Safe and Responsible Use of AI." The observance began in 2004 as part of the EU Safe Borders Project, aimed at raising awareness for a safer and better internet. Safer Internet Day is celebrated in approximately 190 countries.
