Northern California. 1968.
On a quiet road outside Vallejo, two teenagers parked beneath the night sky are suddenly attacked by an unknown gunman. Months later, another couple is shot in a similar attack. Then the letters begin to arrive.
Sent to local newspapers, the messages contain strange symbols, coded ciphers, and chilling claims of responsibility. The writer gives himself a name that would soon become infamous across the world.

Over the next several months, the killer continues to taunt police and the media, sending cryptic messages and threatening further violence. Despite a massive investigation, thousands of suspects, and decades of detective work, the identity of the Zodiac Killer has never been confirmed.
