The critical assessment revealed that integrating Byzantine chant elements enriched the performance and deepened the understanding of its influence on Western choral music. While some expectations were met, others highlighted areas for further exploration. Future research could expand by examining other regional chant traditions and their impact on Western music. Additionally, exploring pedagogical approaches to teaching Byzantine chant in different cultural contexts could provide further insights into its transmission and adaptation.
