ストーリーはすごく面白く、シリーズものならではの過去からの物語たちがミルフィーユのように折り重なって楽しめる作品になっていた。そして今回はクーパーズチェイスならではの老いることの影のようなものが1話と同じくらい重く描かれていた。
エリザベスがある理由によって不在の間に、それぞれのキャラクターが成長する様子が見られたのが良かった。特にジョイスの成長がすごくて、まるで本当にスパイなんじゃないかと思うほどだった。イブラヒムの若い時の話もああそうだったのか、と思った。骨董品屋のおじいちゃんや、テレビホストのマイケル、ドバイなど過去のキャラやエピソードがちょいちょい出てくるのも良かった。
