BOOK SUMMARY-THE CENTURIONS. The main thesis of the book is that submission and obedience to the Lord gives power and spiritual authority as is pleasing to God. The best model and example of obedience and submission to God is the Lord Jesus Himself who throughout His life taught us how to live a life of obedience to God.
Also, this book talks about the Centurion, among other biblical characters, a man with great authority, who amazed Jesus by the quality of his faith and by his obedience as he recognized that Jesus had a higher authority, and he willingly submitted to Him. The Centurion showed Jesus that he was a man of authority under the authority, but he recognized and submitted to a higher authority in Jesus.
My prayer is that more men and women can become like new centurions to amaze Jesus and be obedient and submissive to Him to become chosen instruments in the expansion of the Kingdom for all nations.
