Alex Hormozi says AI won't make you rich in 2026, and he is right. AI is high leverage, but leverage is a multiplier, and a multiplier only acts on what is already there. JT Taylor MS, MBA, operator and international business integrator, reacts to Hormozi's case against AI and adds the layer most people miss: if the business already runs on you, AI does not remove that constraint. It multiplies it. You just become a faster bottleneck.
Hormozi is right that most people are AI-maxing, automating low-priority work faster instead of fixing what actually limits the business. For almost every small business, that constraint is not a tool. It is the owner.
Beat by beat:
Leverage is a multiplier. AI multiplies whatever system you already have, good or broken.
The wealthiest owners barely touch the tools. Their teams do. They built a company that runs without them, then pointed AI at it.
AI-maxing scales the wrong thing. Automate a broken process and you run the mess faster. Fix the process first, then automate.
The sharper question is not "did AI make me money" but "can the business run without me?"
