On May 11, 2011, Amy Fry-Pitzen walked into Greenman Elementary School in Aurora, Illinois, and signed her six-year-old son Timmothy out of kindergarten, citing a family emergency that did not exist. For three days she took him on a farewell tour of everything he loved, a zoo and two water park resorts, before checking into a Rockford motel alone. She was found dead by suicide the next afternoon, leaving a note saying her son was safe with people who love him, and that he would never be found. Timmothy Pitzen has not been seen since.
