The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” PASTORAL PRAYER As this new day begins, perhaps you are already thinking about what lies ahead. There may be a difficult conversation, a decision to make, someone you are concerned about, or simply a tiredness that has followed you into the morning. Before the day gathers pace, pause here with Jesus. You do not have to face today in your own strength. Psalm 27 reminds us that the Lord is our light, our salvation and the stronghold of our life. Jesus does not ask us to pretend that nothing is difficult. He invites us to trust Him in the middle of it. So, Lord, we bring You our fears, our families, our responsibilities and everything we cannot control. Hold what we cannot carry. Today we pray for India, Italy and Bahrain, asking You to bring peace, wisdom and protection to people and families across these nations. We also pray for the United States, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Meet people in their homes and workplaces, and let them know they are not forgotten. Holy Spirit, quiet the voice of fear and help us recognise the presence of Jesus. Señor Jesús, danos paz y valor. Senhor Jesus, guia-nos hoje. Panginoong Jesus, samahan Mo kami. The Lord is our light when the way is unclear and our stronghold when life feels uncertain. So we will step into this day with courage—not because we know what will happen, but because we know who is with us. Amen.
