Have you ever suspected that capsule wardrobes are pointless, because they collapse into the same three favorite outfits?
There's a reason for that, and your eye already knows it.
Every time you swap a piece, you change the relationship between everything else in the outfit: the proportion, the line, the color balance. Certain combinations hit real harmony on your specific body. You feel it before you can explain it, and you default to those combinations over and over.
Building outfit formulas around your real body proportions is the most effective way to stop capsule wardrobe collapse from feeling like failure.
An outfit formula isn't a fixed head-to-toe look, and it isn't a closet where everything is supposed to mix and match. It's a recipe: the shape and proportion relationships that make a combination work on you, that different pieces can satisfy.
I shared this in a new episode of Signature Style Systems, using a story from an advanced stylist training where every outfit I packed got critiqued in front of the group, one suitcase, every single day.
Curious what your own outfit formula could look like?
