A Prince at war with an empire

With the blood of his brother and mother on his hands, Prince Ashoka Maurya has become a traitor to his empire. Sequestering himself in the city of Taksila, he plots to seize the Obsidian Throne from the last Maurya standing—his vengeful sister, Aarya. Shakti now knows the true origin of her extraordinary powers: a curse that ties a Great Spirit’s life force to hers, giving her far more power than any other mayakari. Determined to see Ashoka on the Obsidian Throne, Shakti proposes a bold and dangerous plan: to use her connection to control Great Spirits and use them as soldiers in his name.
