- The Aldecott Folio comprised twelve late seventeenth-century navigational charts valued between $1.2 million and $1.8 million depending on completeness.
- Frank Aldecott brought the folio to the Harwick Institute for Historical Cartography on June 3, 2019 and handed it to senior conservator Philip Masse.
- Four wire transfers totaling $41,000 were made between March and May 2019 from Austen Cartographic Partners to an account belonging to Philip Masse.
- Aldecott had placed an index card with his initials and date between the folio’s final sheet and back board before lending it for imaging.
