- Two identical bronze sculptures were found forty feet apart, one on its plinth and one in eight inches of standing water.
- The bronze on the plinth had been on display for forty-seven days prior to the discovery.
- The rain-exposed plinth showed four bolt holes arranged in a rectangle measuring nine inches by five and a half inches.
- Webb measured a displacement of three-eighths of an inch between existing anchor holes and faint circular scars filled with gray epoxy.
- Eleanor Poole cast Meridian in 1967 using a ferric nitrate patina applied across three sessions.
