In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Ruchi Motial-Suri, Founder of Success Culture, to explore what becomes possible when leaders stop performing who they believe they should be and begin leading from a deeper awareness of who they already are.
Ruchi described as one of the greatest gifts we have as human beings. Without it, we can spend years operating beneath layers of expectations, inherited beliefs and definitions of what a leader, a business or a successful life is supposed to look like.
When Ruchi and I first connected, she offered me two simple words:
“Set yourself free.” Free yourself from the expectations, layers and beliefs that stop you leading as yourself.
Ruchi reframed culture as the environment people experience every day, where individuality strengthens the collective rather than competes with it. She also challenged the traditional hierarchy of leadership, believing experience and emerging perspectives must learn from one another.
We also explored spirituality in leadership as the awareness that reconnects us with our authentic selves. When leaders stop spending energy trying to be someone they’re not, they create greater ease, trust and possibility within the cultures they lead.
Ruchi’s definition of success brought these ideas together: “Success at the expense of something else, that’s where the problem is.”
