Our guest this week is Patrick Kreuzer, a man whose life has been dedicated to serving others, both in uniform and beyond. Patrick is a pre- and post-9/11 United States Marine Corps veteran and spent 17 years serving as a police officer with the City of Mesa.
After carrying the weight of nearly two decades of service to both his country and community, he medically retired in 2023 due to PTSD. Rather than allowing those experiences to define him, Patrick chose to transform his pain into purpose. He is currently completing his Master's in Social Work with the goal of becoming a trauma therapist, helping veterans and first responders heal from the invisible wounds of service.
He is also the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of the After Watch Foundation, a passionate mental health advocate, a service dog trainer, host of the Thin Line Rock Station radio show, and the voice behind the After the Call podcast. Beyond all of his accomplishments, Patrick is a devoted husband and father of four.
Tragically, his family experienced the heartbreaking loss of one of their children, an active-duty Navy service member, to suicide this past December. Through unimaginable grief, Patrick has continued to courageously speak out about mental health, hope, and the importance of reaching out before it's too late. This is going to be a powerful, honest, and inspiring conversation about service, sacrifice, trauma, resilience, and finding purpose after life's darkest moments.
