Suspicion landed on Edward's wealthy widow, Frances Hall, and her two brothers, but bringing them to justice would prove far more difficult than anyone expected. What followed was years of dead ends, a tabloid bombshell that forced the case back open, and one of the most sensational trials of the Jazz Age.
