概要

 A slow Tuesday night in late autumn. The Rosewood Lodge, a faded motel on the outskirts of a town called North Milton, Vermont. Luna works the front desk because the usual clerk called in sick. A single guest checks in around midnight — a quiet woman with no bags and a room key for 208. She asks for a wake-up call at 3:33 AM, then vanishes into the long hallway. Luna watches the security monitors. No one leaves room 208. But at 3:33, the phone rings. And the woman's voice on the line is not asking to be woken up. It is asking for something else.
