概要

 In the early autumn of 2018, I drove through a hundred miles of empty Iowa farmland to meet a man who claimed he'd seen something in the soybean fields outside a town called Bern. He was a trucker who stopped at a diner — the only lit building for miles at 3 a.m. — and what he saw through the window that night, and what he later found in his cab, I still can't explain. This is not a story about a monster.
