概要
A full-cast drama series exploring six turning-points in the career of Winston Churchill
1. A Shooting Star: Lord Randolph's rapid rise and sudden end were always before his son as he pursued his singular path.
2. Crisis at Agadir: June 1911: Churchill was Home Secretary and Lloyd George was Chancellor when the Germans sent a gunboat to Morocco to protect their interests....
3. Gallipoli: 'I was ruined for the time being in 1915, over the Dardenelles, and a supreme enterprise was cast away....'
4. Class Wars: Winston fights the General Strike with troops and his own newspaper, the British Gazette.
5. The Aristocrat and the Guttersnipe: Winston goes to Munich and he and Hitler almost meet....
6. One Day in May: Chamberlain's men fight to keep him in office, but on 10th May 1940 the King sends for Winston.
Starring Daniel Massey as Winston, Fiona Walker as Clementine Churchill, Ioan Meredith as Lloyd George, John Rowe as Herbert Asquith, and John Moffatt as Neville Chamberlain.
