The Rays beat the Twins 6-1. It was an all around great game for the Rays. It started with a Luke Fraley blasted a 2 run homer in the 4th to make it 2-0. Shane McClanahan held it down for the Rays. He went 5 IP allowing 0 runs and 7 strike outs. After McClanahan went out the Rays extended their lead. Ben Williamson had a RBI triple in the 7th to make it 3-0. Nick Fortes also had a RBI single which made it 4-0. The Rays would add another in the 7th then added one more in the 8th to cap off their scoring. The Twins only run came in the 9th inning but at that point the game was already out of reach. The Rays will look to go for the sweep tomorrow.
