God having control ≠ God taking control.
We, without intent, hurt people's faith when we always proclaim, "God is in control."
Many times, without knowing it, we are attributing things to God that are really the result of man's sin or even satan.
Although God can control it, it does not mean that God chooses to take control.
He has left much to our free will and says exactly so in His Word.
Hopefully, this message can help people see that God is not the author of evil and tragedy.
And may we, with humility, also realize our ability, in our humanness, to make massive mistakes.
This humility is needed. We are not alone. In our humanness, we are susceptible to our human emotions. All of us. We need to know we share in this together, so we overcome our pride and ask for help.
