概要
This is the first of hopefully many spiritual care focused episodes.
I'm not going to be talking about learning English or prepping for the CELPIP in these episodes.
Instead, my focus is going to be on encouraging you to have and grow in your relationship with God - spiritual care.
I'm not coming at this as someone who 'has arrived' or is somehow an expert. I'm not either of those things.
My hope and intention is to encourage you to press into your relationship with God, or start one if you have never done so, to help you as you make your way through all the challenges of immigrating to Canada.
Today's episode dives into the often overlooked spiritual side of immigrating to a new country. I share my thoughts on how moving to Canada isn’t just about wrapping your head around paperwork or mastering English; it’s a profound emotional and spiritual journey that can shake your sense of identity and belonging.
By leaning into your relationship with God, you can find the support you need to navigate the challenges you face each day.
Takeaways:
- Immigrating to a new country involves much more than just paperwork and exams; it affects your entire life, and can challenge you to the core.
- It's crucial to nurture your spiritual well-being while navigating the stresses of immigration.
- Relying on personal strength isn't always enough; turning to God can offer the help you need.
- Facing overwhelming challenges is a common experience as an immigrant; it's okay to seek support and encouragement from your faith.
- Building a relationship with God will provide the strength and peace you need to make your way through life’s difficulties.
