"Hello again! Do you have a favorite toy or instrument? Today, we hear a story about a girl named May and her new music."

May is nine years old. She is a student. Every Wednesday, May has a music lesson. May plays the violin. But May has a problem. Her violin is very old and very small. It does not sound good. Squeak, squeak!

It is May’s birthday. Her father gives her a big, brown box. "Open it!" says her father. May opens the box. Inside, there is a brand new violin. It is shiny and beautiful. It is not small; it is the perfect size.

May is very excited. She picks up the new violin and plays a song. The music is wonderful. "Thank you, Dad!" May says. She practices her new violin all afternoon. She wants to be a great musician.
