概要
Welcome to Day 34 of Word for Word: The Bible.
In today’s episode, we read Leviticus chapters 19–21 word for word from the New International Version (NIV). As God continues instructing Israel, holiness moves beyond the tabernacle and into daily life, relationships, justice, and leadership. These chapters reveal how devotion to God is meant to shape every aspect of how His people live and serve.
Today’s reading includes:
- God’s call for His people to be holy because He is holy
- Laws emphasizing honesty, justice, compassion, and love for others
- Instructions for caring for the poor, the foreigner, and the vulnerable
- Clear warnings against idolatry, occult practices, and moral corruption
- Consequences for sin and the seriousness of turning away from God
- God’s standards for priests and the added responsibility of spiritual leadership
Leviticus 19–21 reminds us that holiness is not limited to worship rituals—it is lived out in daily obedience and faithful conduct. God’s people are called to reflect His character in how they treat others and how they honor Him in every area of life.
Each episode of Word for Word: The Bible includes:
- A brief opening prayer for understanding
- A complete word-for-word Scripture reading
- A short closing reflection and prayer
