概要
Monday, February 2nd: In this episode of The Daily Grind, we step into a question that feels unavoidable in today’s tense and divided climate: whose side is God on? As polarized opinions even among Christians intensify, especially in response to recent incidents in Minnesota and across the United States, it’s easy to slip into an “us versus them” way of thinking. Drawing from The Coddling of the American Mind, we examine the dangerous misconception that life is a battle between good people and evil people. History, Scripture, and the wisdom of Abraham Lincoln remind us that the line between good and evil runs through every human heart, not between opposing camps. We explore Joshua’s encounter with the commander of the Lord’s army, whose surprising answer—“neither”—reframes the entire question. God does not come to endorse our agendas but to call us into His purposes. This episode challenges listeners to resist outrage, reject tribalism, and remember how God treated us when we were His enemies. Ultimately, following Jesus means becoming peacemakers in a world addicted to division. The call is simple, but not easy: stop asking if God is on your side, and instead, get on His.
