कस्मिंश्चित् विद्यालये परीक्षापरिणामस्य घोषणस्य अनन्तरं कश्चन छात्रः उत्थाय 'मम परीक्षापरिणामः भवता न उक्तः' इति अवदत् । तदा शिक्षकः अवदत् 'त्वं ज्वरादिकारणम् उक्त्वा दीर्घकालं यावत् कक्ष्यायाम् अनुपस्थितः आसीः । अतः त्वम् अनुत्तीर्णः स्याः । तस्मात् एव आवल्यां तव नाम नास्ति' इति । 'मम अनुत्तीर्णता भवितुं न अर्हति, श्रीमन्' इति सः छात्रः आत्मविश्वासेन अवदत् । एवं वादः प्रतिवादः च प्राचलत् तयोः मध्ये । छात्रः यदा यदा उत्तीर्णताविषये वादम् अनुवर्तितवान् तदा तदा शिक्षकः तस्य दण्डं वर्धितवान् । तावता लिपिकारः आगत्य 'एतस्य छात्रस्य नाम प्रथमश्रेणीं प्राप्य उत्तीर्णानाम् आवल्याम् आसीत् । अनवधानात् अस्माभिः न लक्षितम्' इति अवदत् । आत्मविश्वासस्य खनी इव स्थितस्य बालकस्य नाम 'राजेन्द्रप्रसादः' यः भाविनि काले भारतस्य प्रथमराष्ट्रपतिः जातः ।

We failed to notice it due to oversight.” The boy, who stood firm like a mine of self-confidence, was named Rajendra Prasad, who in the future became the first President of India.
